This kitchen looked like it was pulled straight out of the early 2000’s. With dark cabinetry and speckled counter tops, it looked and felt dated. Additionally, the space was not ideal for serving or hosting friends and family. Most areas of the kitchen were not utilized to their potential and the overall design was less than optimal for their high level of traffic.
So, the homeowners turned to ACo’s trusted designer Kayley Vargo to help them create a new kitchen design focused on accommodating their lifestyle. They also wanted an updated style that was more expressive of their individual personalities.
When it came to the kitchen’s footprint, relocating appliances and adding a large 48” Thermador range helped create a more functional space for cooking and baking. A custom wood hood brings in much needed depth and character. The layout change also opens up the island space to better suit gatherings.
Bringing the cabinets all the way up to the ceiling increased the overall storage space and made the kitchen feel larger. Meanwhile, removing an underutilized desk area and adding a functional pantry with more storage, rollouts, and panel ready appliances, provides these homeowners with even more space for entertaining.
A dark blue and pure white color palette with pops of honey bronze hardware elevates the charismatic design by adding a touch of glam.
