He wanted a man cave, where he could kick back with his buddies, enjoy a drink, and catch the latest game in the comfort of home. She wanted designer style and a basement that looked fresh off the pages of an interior design magazine. Finding a style that would suit both husband and wife was a challenge, so they turned to ACo Designer Dani Kohl for help.
The clients wanted a place to relax and enjoy as an extension of their first floor. A place where they could entertain family and friends, enjoy their wine collection, or unwind on a quiet night at home. With a few compromises and some unique design elements, they were able to achieve their vision for a warm and cozy space where everyone would feel comfortable.
The floor-to-ceiling, glass enclosed wine cellar, makes a big visual impact as the focal point when you enter the space. It flows with the modern style of the bar area, giving the homeowners the perfect place to showcase their wine collection and enjoy a glass of their favorite vintage.
The concrete sink, black cabinets, dark chevron pattern wallpaper, stone refaced fireplace and wood plank theater wall add designer style with a masculine touch. This modern basement is the perfect blend of the homeowner’s individual styles, a space they will love to live and entertain in for years to come.
