From Roman Columns to a Modern Bathroom Retreat 

A built-in Roman tub with columns was de rigueur for luxury master bathrooms in the early aughts. However, when considering a remodel of their master bathroom, the bulky tub and columns weren’t exactly timeless architectural elements the homeowners wanted to keep.  

Ready for a more modern and open design, the homeowners turned to ACo Designer Mia Farrell.  

Without changing the bathroom’s footprint ACo transitioned this 2000-era bathroom to a more open airy space that delivers modern streamlined luxury. The columns were torn down, the built-in tub was replaced with a sleek freestanding piece, and the shower entry was opened up to bring more light into the space. An updated color palette brings brightness and a fresh appeal to this master bathroom retreat. 

This look will more easily translate into subsequent upgrades over the years while giving the homeowners a more contemporary appeal today.
