It is amazing how a few changes can alter a space so drastically. For this kitchen remodel, a few cosmetic updates transformed an everyday space into a warm, welcoming “Wow” of a kitchen.
The homeowners decided to keep the base cabinets, which were in great shape, but gave them a nice refresh with a coat of white paint. Meanwhile, the wall cabinets were removed, and we added subway tile (Virginia tile) from countertop to ceiling for a dramatic effect that really opened up the space. In place of the wall cabinets, we added floating shelves accented with gold brackets.
Above the range, the microwave was removed and relocated to a built-in space within the base cabinets. To accommodate the microwave the base cabinet was modified from a 3-drawer set up to a top drawer, microwave, and open shelf space giving the homeowners convenient access.
Back at the oven range, we added a custom wood hood to match the shelves in a soft neutral stain from Green City Cabinets, installing a new blower unit for better ventilation to the outside.
Finishing out this kitchen refresh are new countertops from MSI in Calacatta Classique, new gold hardware, and a new sink and faucet for a clean, modern look softened by neutral tones.
