The Pennington project was a total kitchen remodel, which included new flooring on the first floor. The wall between the kitchen and family room was removed to open up the space, with that, ACo had to relocate the range and fridge. The dishwasher was relocated from the peninsula as well. By eliminating the peninsula and the wall, we were able to add a island (HO wishes) for extra counter space and storage that also gave room to a new eating area. The old pantry is now an efficient large storage cabinet with rollouts. The bay window in the original breakfast nook was kept, but added storage below and countertop creating a serving/buffet area for entertaining. Aside from the plumbing relocation, a new electrical and lighting plan, which included a chandelier over the new island was done.
